Sound and lenovo 3000 C100

Hi Guys,
Upgraded drom a t22 to this c100 jobby. Very nice, however the sound is really quiet ( yes i have turned the volume up ), but still not much sound comes out am i missing something. Any help much appreciated.

recovery discs: none. it assumes you have a hard drive with the recovery mambo jambo. hard drive dies? you buy one from lenovo loaded with the recovery software. =D

what did i do? downloaded xp home oem (since lenovo doesn't supply us with any....what can a man do?) and kept it in a safe place. i wiped the hard drive clean. installed xp clean. used the product key on the bottom. used lenovo's drivers on the website.

as for the audio problem, i don't have an answer for you. my c100 comes out fine. :?
