I received my new X200 today. It came with XP Pro loaded.
It will run for maybe a minute after booting up, then, even if I am typing, it pops up the message "preparing to stand by" and it goes into stand-by mode. I went into power settings and eliminated all stand-by settings. Same problem keeps happening. I called Lenovo service, and the guy I spoke with had no idea what might be causing it, so he is sending me a box for sending the machine to a repair depot.
Has anyone else had this problem, and is there anything I might be able to fix myself rather than lose a brand new machine for the next week?
