X220 Touchpad bsod

#1 Post by uni_0n » Mon Feb 01, 2021 7:35 am

I get a blue screen:
System thread exception not handled

...and it caused by "SynTp.sys"

I have Synaptics UltraNav Driver 19.0.17.142 (last in Lenovo Vantage)
so what i could do with that? thanks :o

Ok, here...
I used my x220 for half a month
Nothing seems to have come out
...is it closed? Maybe yes :)

TBH I've never experienced a BSOD caused by the Synaptics driver.

I see 3 possible causes:
1. Driver (needs update)
2. hardware (disable touchpad, see it problem disappears)
3. RAM (long shot TBH, but I've see bad RAM cause really weird issues.
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch

I faced the same exact problem. After deactivating the touchpad in bios the problem went away. Were you able to rectify the issue? It seems like a new trackpad might be in order.
