Mobile Broadband on the T420 in 2022 (Windows 10)

So I picked up a 3G WWAN card for my T420 and installed it. It now appears in the device manager.

I installed a working sim card (that I know has internet) and setup a new broadband connection following the instructions on the Lenovo website https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/prod ... windows-10

But it's not working.

Any help guys?

In the US, the major networks have begun to decommission 3G service to free up bandwidth for 5G rollouts. AT&T flips the switch on their 3G hardware on 2/22. Sprint (and T-mobile) pulls the plug on 3/31. Verizon hasn't announced a date yet but says it will be before the end of this calendar year. In short I wouldn't spend a lot of time trying to get a 3G modem to work - there won't be service for it to connect to soon.
