can I use a t400 fan in a t420?

I bought this replacement fan for my T400: https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-CPU-Coolin ... 2749.l2649. But because my T400 is my only working computer at this time and trhe worn-out fan is holding together for the moment, I wonder if I could use this part in my abandoned T420 instead--it was overheating and shutting itself down. Would it probably work?

You might be able to affix it somehow but the dimensions could also be way off, I think you'd have to look into it yourself to find out.
