Can i use a T400 keyboard in a T420

I own a T400 with a US QWERTY keyboard and about to get a hand-me-down T420 but it has a German keyboard and as Im used to the US QWERTY, my question is can I swap the T400 keyboard into the T420?

No. The T400 keyboard will work in the T500 and W500, as well as the T60 and T61.

When looking for a T420 keyboard, know that it is common with ThinkPads from 2010-2011 - immediately before the 6-row chiclet style keyboard was adopted with the **30 series in 2012. Its first appearance was in the T400s and was also used in the W510, W520, W701, T410/T510, T420/T520, X220, among a few others.

IIRC the X201's keyboard is only compatible with the rest of the X200/201 family, and not with the X220, T410, etc.
