#1 Post by wolf-zhang » Tue Jun 03, 2008 8:36 am

Based on Gizmodo's info, the new T series line including T400/500 should be released today. But still no news till now.

Does anyone have any idea? Hope it wont be delayed.

I've been holding out for new info today as well. I knew the chipset problems would push things back a bit, but typically at release Lenovo doesn't have them ready anyway so I figured they might be announced regardless.

And i also expected the coupons to get better today, not stay the same (10% off T series), so I apparently can't read their intentions very well.

Yes, me too.

Back to last thanksgiving, with 20% off and $100 off using paypal checkout, the deal was much better than now.

Again, DAMM INTEL!

Another news from lenovo china is that, the vice ceo who takes charge of the china and russia area, said that lenovo was negociating with intel about the delay of the new chip, and may give us a surprise. This is the news on May 28th.

It's disappointing. I hope they're going to be worth it. Providing increased power and more battery options - most importantly a brighter screen.

If you do that again to get around the filters, you can find a new place to post.

the new thinkpads look kinda ugly.

especially the really huge space on either sides of the keyboard makes the middle of the computer (the keyboard) kinda slouched in, or something.

they better do some better designing.

Where are the speakers now located on the T Series? At the front?

They are located on either side of the keyboard, on the top of the base facing the user.

Screens...

#13 Post by Isaac000 » Tue Jun 10, 2008 10:42 pm

Aaaw crap. I was waiting for the new machines, but it looks like there isn't any hi-res screens listed, only WSXGA+ at best on a 15" screen. Maybe I should just spring for the last of the T60's and save some money while I'm at it...

I prsume that the high resolution screens are reserved for the workstations of the W-Series, which is the successor of the Txxp models.

Thanks gator. I hope they are more punchy than the speakers on my T41p. More like the ones on the X300, as reported by most reviews I've read.

So what's the last day I can order a T61p?

All the signs point to the T400/T500 using a NVidia 9300M, which is slower than the Quadro 570M. I think I'd rather have the graphics performance than the gimmick stuff they're throwing in w/ the new series.
