Do Lenovo release models usually have problems that later on get resolved?
Model: Lenovo ThinkPad T400
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 (2.26 GHz, 1067 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 Cache)
RAM: 4 GB PC-8500 (1067 MHz, Dual-channel)
HDD: 500 GB, 54000 RPM
Audio: Conexant CX20561 (192 kHz, 24-bit)
Video: Intel GMA 4500MHD
Wireless: Intel 5300

As far as I can remember, some particular early models of T60 (Core Duo based) had over-heating problem (the GPU of my original T60 2007-66U would reach 100+ Clesius degrees after 15 minutes of 3D games ). The problem was later resolved when the Core 2 Duo based T60.
T60 (2007-66U): upgraded to C2D T7400, 2GB DDR2-667, Hitachi Travelstar 5k250, 14" SXGA+, ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 (sold).
T61 (8891-CTO): C2D T7300, 4GB DDR2-667, Hitachi Travelstar 5k250, 14" SXGA+, Nvidia Quadro FX 570M (128MB).

I'm placing an order hopefully minutes after release, and I'm hoping that any defects can be replaced with a minor FRU.
