What actually is maximum resolution? I could not get more than 1280 x 800 resolution in my computer. I was using 1440 x 1024 resolution in my old T40 so would love to get a bit more resolution than 1280 x 800. Can anyone suggest me how do I get maximum resolution?Graphics Subsystem

Re: what is maximum resolution (with max video RAM)?
That refers to the maximal resolution the graphics chip can handle. That's one of the limiting factors. The other is the screen. Your laptop's screen can display a max. of 1280x800. Theoretically screen can be replaced but I don't know much about doing this in a SL and it would void your warranty so you probably don't want to go this route.raku05 wrote:Max resolution (with max video RAM): 2048x1536 16777216 colors

Thanks for the correction. I mean to say that I used to have maximum resolution of 1400 x 1050 in my old T40. however, now I have SL-300 and the maximum resolution I can get is 1280 x 800yak wrote:What kind of resolution is that? You probably meant 1400x1050 here, right?
I think I got the answer. I think the maximum resolution might be the resolution of any external monitor I add. The only problem with the current resolution (of 1280 x 800) is that I was habituated using the higher resolution in my old computer and now icons look very large in my new computer
