L412 short review *Pic warning*

#1 Post by Danoc » Tue Aug 17, 2010 6:57 pm

Here is a short review of the new Thinkpad L412, received last week. First impressions.

Overall pretty satisfied with it. Fast and reliable.

Core i3 M370 2.4Ghz
2 Gb PC3-10666
Centrino N6200 AGN

Advantages of the L412 over the Macbook:
- extension possibility: dock station (shares the same with the T serie), able the change every component, including the CPU.
- connectivity (4 USB ports, esata, VGA, HDMI, card readers).
- cooler.
- best keyboard on the market.
- two pointing devices.
- mat screen.
- smaller adapter.
- half the price !

Advantages of the Macbook over the L412:
- smaller.
- aluminium case.
- software optimization for the battery life.
- best touchpad on the market.

Comparison with the Thinkpad R51, and the Macbook Alu:
