L412 displayport no audio after sleep

I have a L412 that is using displayport to an Asus 27" monitor. When started up from cold all is well but if the machine goes to sleep it returns without audio. Audio can be restored via a reboot. Seems the audio link is being broken and not being re-established upon wake-up. Thanks in advance for any help, Keith

Is Windows reverting the default audio device? See if you can reinstate the DisplayPort audio device in the Sound control panel.
