W500 LCD Upgrades and Mods Qs

Hi all,
I picked up a project W500 with 1920x1200 LCD. I just have a couple questions.

1 - Can this panel easily accept an LED mod?
2 - Are there IPS panels of at least 1920x1200 that have been swapped into W500?
3 - If I ever need to replace the mainboard for any reason, what other model mainboards will fit easily and support 1920x1200?

1. I'd call it far from easy. Pointless is another word that comes to my mind
2. Nope.
3. Any T500/W500 mobo will run WUXGA.

IMHO this is the best non ips WUXGA display for W500:
Sharp lq154m1lw2a (or lq154m1lw02)
I`ve installed one many years ago in my machine, and it is much brighter and crisper than the Samsung, with much better color reproduction too.
Get one if you can. There is a led mod kit to sell in aliexpress, but I've no need for it with my Sharp LCD.
