Hi Guys, sorry I was wrong. I am getting 120-130 MB/s when I connect external drives to USB 3.0 ports on W520. 95 MB/s was my gigabit speed copying the same file from network share (backup). I must have been copying from wrong location when I checked the speed. I just tested again and I am getting 30 MB/s when I connect the drives to dock USB 3.0. So looks like hardware limitation. I actually switched to Dell precision since Thinkpads aren't as good anymore. If any admin is reading this please go ahead delete my posts to prevent people getting wrong information.
