I would up the RAM to 8GB and install an SSD. That should make it good to go with the T9600.

Bought a Lenovo ThinkPad W500 for $40 on eBay today. With a MasterCard special offer I got $10 off.

Not sure whether it has discrete graphics. Will probably install Windows 10 since I have a serial. Plus buy a $25 SSD @ Best Buy. Will become a Roblox/Minecraft machine for my kids. Need to source a ZR30w for it to match the other three in my office. :)

May also buy a cheap T9900 (my earlier X9100 experiment was a bust a while ago) and/or 2X 4GB DDR3 for it.
Your photos are too big!!
I can't even see the entire photo on my T520.
Forums Rules....800x600 and/or <50KB for pictures.

Also I can say from experience(I haven't played them but know someone who does) that Roblox and Minecraft run just fine on medium settings(Roblox isn't very intensive) an X230 w/ i5-3320M and Intel HD Graphics. You can compare your prcoessor and graphics card in the W500 to that and you can get a ballpark on how it runs.

I just checked the scores and they don't look good. The X230 was 2x faster in both the CPU and GPU department. Also note that Roblox is very WiFi heavy so you will need a good connection there.

Not sure how well those two games will stack up but only you can tell us.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

I have one of those USB converters so I can use an IBM M series keyboard with one of my T510's. I also have an external monitor and a mouse hooked up to this. It's treated as a desktop and it never moves, but it's at the far side of my model railroad work table so I need a keyboard I can move to use, and then move it out of the way when finished. In fact, I never even open the lid on the T510.

Need to source a PS/2 to USB converter so I can hook up an IBM PS/2 keyboard. Also need to source a black USB or PS/2 mouse.
Make sure its an active converter and not one of those green/purple plastic pieces of junk you see with every Dell Dimension.

You'll want to check the temps and make sure everything is running cool. T500 and W500 are or getting close to 10 years old and most are all running on the stock thermal paste, which is most likely powder by now.

The ATI models (and all W500 have ATI graphics) are prone to overheating because the thermal paste wears out, and then you get the famous "ATI death" these models suffer from... due to the overheating.
