Using the T430 WQHD kit on different Thinkpads?

I've heard of a kit that allows the T430 to drive 2560x1440, and is available online. I was curious as to whether this would theoretically work driving a 2560x1600 17" panel on the W701ds, with rerouted cables and other modifications made.

Apparently the kit works on some HP EliteBooks.
Some sell a version compatible with FHD IPS LCDs for 15.6" ThinkPads.

That's good to hear. I'd like to one day have a 2560x1600 W701ds, but I'm not sure what I'd do about the second screen...

You might want to message the seller about that if you haven't taken action already. They would have to know at least something about it.
W541 - i7-4940mx, 8gb RAM, Quadro k2100m
