W701 Motherboard in W700

Has anyone managed to put the W701 motherboard in a W700 chassis? The ports seem to have the same layout.
Thinkpads

R51 1829-W1C 2GB RAM
R500 2716-RY6
T520i 4239-47U
T530 2392-AQU 3610qm, 16GB RAM, classic kb
SK-8835 Ultranav keyboard Japanese layout

Search the forum, it's been tried. No it's not interchangeable and there's no point, you can't re-use the W700 compoinents like the LCD assembly.
