Difference between Photographer model and Regular model W700

#1 Post by DVS_WiNdz » Mon Dec 15, 2008 10:48 pm

I was wondering is there a difference in the Photographers model of the W700 and the regular one?

I see that the regular allows you to have more configured, like turbo memory and wifi/wimax card...

Is there something in the photographers model that you can't configure in the regular one? and why doesn't the photographer model offer turbo memory?

From Lenovo's habits with other machines, it's probably just a pre-configured model so the buyer doesn't need to think so much about it. Not all photographers know how much power they need to edit photos. Turbo memory would be one of those thing that really isn't necessary, and can be eliminated to help reduce extra costs. It actually has been proven to slow down many systems. The t400 offers an elite model, that does a similar thing. If you know what you are looking for, I'd advise that you configure your own base model.
