I have a W700ds which boots into Vista Business 64 from an X25, and uses a 160gb drive in the second bay.
I am considering purchasing a second X25 and going RAID 0 (I don't need more than 160gb of space), but have noticed that using two X25 in RAID is conspicuously missing as an option from the Lenovo site. I am wondering if anyone knows whether such a setup is possible.
Thanks!
PS Does anyone know whether the RAID manager is software or hardware? I believe that it is a hardware setup, but have read that it uses the CPU as much as a software RAID setup. I'm a bit confused because I saw a claim that RAIDed drives in the machine perform just as well when setup through software on the machine.
Is it possible to install 2 Intel X25's in RAID 0 on w700?
