Anyone know where I can find high-res pics of the W510?

#1 Post by mybellyisempty » Thu Jan 07, 2010 8:33 am

I'm thinking of buying a W510 to replace my W500 (rather, replace it for personal use, and use the W500 for work, as I really would like a Quad for my VMware work).

However, I'd like to see just how much as changed. I've heard it switched from a slim optical to the R60-sized one. I imagine it uses a new battery, I know it requires a new docking station.

I'd just like to see what I'm getting myself into to determine if it's worth all the money I'll shell out.

I know I've seen large pictures of the W500 from various angles, like this
Latitude 7480: i5-7300u; 16GB RAM; 512GB SSD; 14.1" 1080P (Mobility)
Precision 3620: E3-1270v5; 32GB RAM; 2x 512GB, 256GB, 1TB SSD; 8TB external; M4000 (ESXi Server)
Precision T1650: E3-1270v2; 16GB RAM; 256GB SSD; V4900 (ESXi Server)

Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.

Sexy design, not so much my cup of tea. The new trackpoint buttons suck hard. I just used them on my mother's brand new SL. Not impressed. Track pad has a weird texture. Not sure if I like it or not, but as a rule I don't like track pads at all. Her SL has multitouch on the trackpad but it's pretty limited as far as I can tell so far. MT on a display should be very useful.
