"Measurement error" when trying to use hueyPRO

#1 Post by rjay » Mon Feb 15, 2010 1:21 pm

I am using hueyPRO 1.07 on the Lenovo W700 which has a built-in Pantone sensor. I recently upgraded from Vista to W7 64bit and downloaded the Lenovo version of hueyPRO 1.07. Everything worked fine but at some point in the last two weeks it stopped working. Now when I try to calibrate after the first two high pitched tones I get three alarm sounds and the calibration LED on the Lenovo stays on. When I open the laptop lid it says there was a measurement error. I have tried installing and uninstalling the app but it made no difference. If I revert to a image of my previous Vista OS install, it all works - so this is a software issue not a failure of the Lenovo hardware.

Also, I noticed that when I close the lid the screen turns itself off, so I'm thinking that is why hueyPRO is not working: it can't see anything. I did change some Power Options and a few other things but I can't imagine what would cause this.

I contacted hueyPRO but they say they can't help and to contact Lenovo.

Lenovo say they're not responsible for software problems.....

Can you do the profile in Vista and import it to Windows 7?
