Where is "the squad" on the Afghan travesty???

#1 Post by cadillacmike68 » Thu Aug 19, 2021 8:38 am

Not a word from any of them, and at least 2 of them are muslim.........

Not that I want to hear anything from any of them; they're a bunch of repulsive hypocrites imo.

What travesty? Radical islamists taking over is in line with progressive leftist agenda everywhere. They support this. Ask Obama.

All Dems were quiet on Biden, they abandoned him on the issue, despite being "anti-war".
Not sure why the squad has been quiet for so long, probably being told not to support thanks to centrist dem PR people.
I think Ilhan Omar said something, but who cares.

Not sure why Biden or any republicans could of given us the arms of our nation from that country. I would like to yeet a blackhalk into any of the California valleys.
Then again... the policy is that we melt all weapons and vehicles or decommision them by removing the key but leaving everything else intact but put a do not touch warning label.

Yes RIP and sad as no one asked the Soviets or the US to invade. Mind you I support what the US did after 9/11.

Give a thought to the hundreds of thousands of Afghans who died during both invasions. They are humans too and I'm sure they love their family and country as much as anyone else.

I see it this way, the "president" isn't capable of being president so D.C. is being governed by a junta with may or may not include the "vice president". So when I think of this Kabul debacle I say its either:

DC Junta/Pentagon/NSC/Alphabet Agencies as a group are so incredibly inept to the point where the US right now is in genuine danger of a surprise attack.

OR

Elements of the DC Junta/Pentagon/NSC/Alphabet Agencies know exactly what they are doing and they are throwing the dementia patient under the bus on purpose, possibly because he has been "handed his hat" but won't leave.

I am leaning toward the latter.

"Then again... the policy is that we melt all weapons and vehicles or decommision them by removing the key but leaving everything else intact but put a do not touch warning label."

You mean WAS the policy. The tali-ban have more Colt M16s and M4s now, not to mention M60 and M240 MGs, than they have AKs. And mortars, canons, etc... What a mess. It's like my year there was a total waste.

Personally, I'm glad they have shut their pie holes, at last for a while.

Yeah, I passed on that drivel as well, and even gave it a 110% discounting - which makes it less than worthless.

You know there is an eviction "moratorium" here in the US. Another part of the war on small business being waged by the demented, feckless, foppish dolt in orifice. Well, 2 squad members both received in excess of $50,000 in rental income last year while the ban was in effect.

Hypocritical? Absolutely.

He only signed One as part of a law and did NOT extended it when it expired. That was a court action. It was Probably needed in 2020 but NO LONGER.

AND... It is unconstitutional and the feckless demented dolt in orifice now even admitted it.

Too bad he's too far gone to admit that hundreds, more likely thousands of US citizens are still trapped all around afghan and have virtually ZERO chance of getting back to the US. They don't even know how many are there.....

the mistake being made here is to conflate american muslims with 'muslims in other parts of the world

in the same way you cannot bunch christian evangelists with baptists or pentecostals etc.

you may as well ask why american muslims dont care too much about muslims being killed in yemen or china

protip: muslims dont care about other muslims

there's 100 mil muslims in indonesia, they live in their microcosm and you can herd musiims in malaysia into gas chambers (for example) and you'll elicit a big 'so what'

its amazing to me that people even care about the opinions of the 'squad'

one must come to the conclusion that the squad lives rent free in the minds of these kinds of people ie. we need a talking point

Best article on Afghanistan I have ever read! I agree with it 1000%!
The US is retreating AT LEAST 10 years too late!
But they shouldn't have been there to begin with!
What a shambles and waste of lives and money!
I can only admire Biden for having the guts to finally stop this BS!
And don't forget it was the GOP who started it all (nothing Grand about those...!

Sure, so we should have just left bin laden & company to just plot more terror attacks on the US.

NOT.

Then you should have invaded pakistan, that's where bin laden ended up

and you should have taken down saudi and the wahabi thing

i wonder why saudi jets were the only ones allowed to fly out on 9/11

i wonder

i also wonder what threat iraq posed? those imaginary wmds?

oh well gotta invade someone.... 20 yr and 7 trillion dollars later... looks like american taxpayers got taken for a ride... and they like it is the amazing thing!

i personally would love it if america stumped up and invaded north korea and iran... but hey, iraq and afghanistan seemed to have worn them out.

DUH, because bin laden was in afghan at the time. he eventually tucked his tail and squirmed into pakistan.

And the demented, corrupt, hypocritical, feckless, foppish dolt biden has NO courage, he doesn't even know what he's done or what the aftereffects will be...

And it only took your Alphabet-soup 'intelligence' 10 years to figure out where 1 guy lives?
FYI: the Taliban is estimated at 75'000 members.
But over 800'000 US soldiers were shipped to Afghanistan for nothing.
And over 2'400 of those soldiers died for nothing.
To date over 2 Trillion US Dollars were wasted for nothing.
Add to this what other countries 'contributed'...

The whole intelligence community couldnt prevent 9/11 so really, that says it all.

Face it, they won. Just like how the Vietnamese won.

Afghanistan defeated the British the Russians too so you're not in bad company.

Up until 2009, we never had more than about 25,000 at one time. 1:3 odds is not going to win a campaign. We doubled it while I was there to around 60,000 still not enough, then up to 80-90,000 which was at that point as waste of men and materiel.

You try to find someone who doesn't want to be found in a large mountain country which will not allow any of your military on the ground.

We should have drawn down 9 nears ago, BUT NOT LIKE THIS.

What about all the aircraft, vehicles and arms that were left behind by USA?
The numbers are frightening!
What military equipment the US left behind in Afghanistan

Most of this was "given" to the afghan army, which promptly melted in front of the taliban. I wasn't a 4-star, just a Col,, but I knew that the afghan army was a bigger waste of everything you can think of, even worse than the iraqi army which also melted away.

The same BS that happened in iraq will happen in afghan, only worse because the taliban took everything over so quickly. I gave them 3 days to take over Kabul last month, but it only took them 2. It's get worse and will be vastly more difficult, if not impossible to rectify than iarq which itself is still a failed state.

Vietnam 35-37 years ago. After the US withdrew their military forces, it took the NVA TWO YEARS to get up enough power to overrun the south. Once they got started, they were pretty much not going to be stopped but Two years vs a month. What a waste.

The corrupt, lying, demented, fecklesss, foppish dolt biden reportedly said "f--k afghan; nixon and ford got away with it, so will we." unverified but most likely very very accurate and true.

Supposedly Russians and Chinese are paying off Taliban, for their minerals, hence why it was so quickly why they took over.
Because they paid off everyone to not fight them.
Again we "don't deal" with terrorists, unless its Gadaffi, Hussien & Bin Laden, as they were freedom fighters, not terrorists.

CIA has this
Cocaine wars in the 80s, we in South/Central America, where all of it is at.
Opium wars in 2000's, Afghanistan.

Fentanyl is next, and its made in China, good thing disney/hollywood will block us from that war.
Coffee, ThinkPads & Nikon Fan.
