Internet Radio from your laptop using a PC cell modem card

#1 Post by GomJabbar » Sun Jul 17, 2005 4:56 pm

Hey, have any of you guys (or gals) checked out live365.com internet radio? I've been using it for awhile now, and I love it. There are quite a few genre's to choose from - including international ones. 8)

I use live365.com primarily with my EDGE PC card modem, which is perfect when I am out on the road. When at home, I use it with my desktop PC over a DSL connection, as of course it has a better sound system than the laptop.

For the first few months I was just using the free version - which is great and doesn't have too many interuptions for upgrading to the paid version. I must say though, their ads for upgrading are some of the best ads out there - quite entertaining. But a couple of months back I sprung for the VIP membership, which is ad free for $3.95/month for one year. There are different price levels depending on how long you pay in advance for the service.

Check out this link: :D

EDIT: I changed the subject line and am resurrecting this thread.

I just ran across an article in The Washington Post on the internet radio service that I have been using. I thought I would share the article with you guys and gals, so that is the reason I am resurrecting this thread. Personally I love the Live365 service. :D
