Is there an existing solution to combine a power source (such as USB3) and DP video input to produce USB-C alt mode DP and PD output and which would serve as input to monitors which require that through a USB-C port?
Searching produces adapters which go the other way only -- from a USB-C alt mode DP and PD socket separate out power pass through and DP video.

Funnily, I got one of these USB-A to USB-C port adapters mentioned there. It didn't occur to me until I read that piece that it can be used to easily make an out-of-spec and dangerous USB-A to USB-A cable. Guess I should be careful about where I leave that adapter.
