FAQ

#1 Post by admsteiner » Mon Jul 05, 2004 5:23 pm

I was wondering what everyone thinks about possibly putting together an FAQ for the site (or at least the T-Series).

It seems that questions regarding battery replacements, screen brightness, weight and other issues appear frequently, with the same exact answers.

Maybe we should all just put together an FAQ and have Bill or one of the other admin's sticky it so it's appears on top for everyone.

Then again, this might cut down on the number of issues explored as newbies or others would read the FAQ, get their answer, and forget or not mention any smaller issues they may have.

We are working on the FAQ, but any help is greatly appreciated. Just send your part of the FAQ to one of us (James, Benz, Bill, Deb, G-Man), and we'll include it in the FAQ.

Regards,
G-Man

Good to hear, I'll send some stuff over as soon as I can put it together.

No. Probably he is just too busy. If you still have a copy of it, can you send it to me?

Thanks,

A FAQ would be great! As an IBM ThinkPad newbie I have questions but don't want to post cause they might seem trivial to some of the old timers. I'm sure you guys have heard some of them a million times.

FAQ ASAP please!!! :)

Hangfire,

While you're waiting on a FAQ, you might try searching for answers through some of the older threads here, threads at this forum's predecessor (linked from Bill's home page) or through the TP mailing list archives at http://zurich.ai.mit.edu/hypermail/thinkpad/

HAHA wow, that poor mailing list....riddled with spam and viruses. Surprised people even post there anymore.

Very little of the spam or viruses actually get mailed out to the list members. Elijah does a good job of filtering them out.

I usually give out the zurich address simply because I have it memorized, but if you want to compare it with the archive of what actually gets mailed:
