Did Lenovo Canada throw IBM service out the window? It seems so...

I ordered a few ultrabay hdd adapters from them in January among other things such as harddrives, cdrom drives (items confirmed via phone conversation and later via e-mail) - they consistently revised the delivery date until I finally received a package today (over 1½ months!!!!) - only to receive wrong part numbers!!! The package I received today instead included 2 hdd adapters for ultrabay 2000 instead of the T40 series.

Here's the icing on the cake: They'll send an RMA for the wrong parts so I can return those next week. That's fine - and expected. However .... according to the rep, the parts I ordered won't be available until Lenovo receives their next shipment 2½ weeks from now, nor can they obtain the parts from Lenovo USA because these are "two separate companies"!!! No matter how much I proded and demanded, the "customer rep" just remained quiet and would only repeat his last statement. "You will have to wait for the next shipment". Arrrrrrgh!

That's customer service????

Thus, it seems, either their supply chain is completely messed up and the people filling the orders are (well, I won't say it), or they're in the process of destroying IBM's name completely and rebranding their "new" service as "LENOVO".

Pathetic!

(BTW, I'm also still waiting for the some of the other parts I ordered along with the HDD adapters. At this point I'll take the weekend to calm down and decide whether or not to recommend the company to disassociate with Lenovo altogether)

Try ebay. There are always reliable sellers with buy it now items and quick shipment. And, if at the end of the story you end up with too many ultrabay slim hdd adapters, I'll buy one or two.
