What would you buy for 20.00

#1 Post by SaberX » Wed May 02, 2007 6:48 pm

If you have $20.00 to spend ,eather here or on e-bay.
What would you buy?
$20.00 with shipping.

I have 20.00 in my pay pal account just waiting to be spent.. :-)
Should also say , i like to have something for the thinkpad.
I have been looking at a sleave case,or a usb flash drive.

Sorry if this is not the best plast to put this post.

Before the mods lock it up, I have a thought. People seem to be able to find a copy of Aconis on ebay for around $20. It's not a flashy buy or one that you'd use every day, but definitely nice when you need it!

I don't think this is a silly thread at all...

You can PayPal the $20 you have sitting in your account to me at the e-mail address in my profile :)

If that doesn't appeal to you (and I don't see why it shouldn't; double negative here!), schen has a good idea. If Acronis is not available at that price or you do not like/want to use it, try Norton Ghost 2003. It's what I've been using to backup and clone my systems.

What are you going to do with the $5.02 now in your account? :)

This will become a long thread I suppose.

Anyway, if you added $11 to you original spending budget, you could have bought a copy of this:

There should be a Withdraw tab on the second line of the header. You will have your choice of electronic transfer or a paper check.

Get some trackpoint caps or do as what Ray and Purcy says :D
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."

Or you can upgrade your account by being a seller on eBay, like I did....I now have a PayPal Card (MasterCard), that works like either a credit card or a debit card. I can withdraw money from my PayPal account at any time for a nominal charge WITHOUT having to wait several days for the money to transfer....PLUS I get 1% cashback into my account if I purchase something with the card, as a creditcard....for example...I get paid for something with my PayPal account....i simply use my PayPal card as a credit card to pay for the shipping....this allows me to get 1% cashback, which helps balance the fees charged by PayPal for being a "business" account....
(/end commercial for PayPal...)

Wow, that's great, good job. Imagine, if we all for one or two days saved the money from our cigs (I don't smoke though), beers, coffees, etc and donated $5 to this site - holy cow, Bill would be in like Flint!!

Thanks for that info Steve, I've been a seller for years but never got that Paypal credit card. It seems like it has some awesome advantages.

Purcy,

Good thing you didn't mention "chocolate" :). Nobody better get between me and my chocolate (as Ray pops another Hershey's Miniature in his mouth...).

If it is chocolate for Ray, it is gatorade for me. I take more gatorade than water  A large part of my monthly savings (not anymore, hehe!) goes into buying gatorade
