Using the Jabra BT250 as a wireless earphone?

#1 Post by plucky duck » Fri Dec 31, 2004 2:10 am

I know it'll be monotone, but how good's the quality. Will there be static feedback? This is to be used on the T42p. I'll mainly be using it to watch DVD movies at night in bed.

I did beta testing for Jabra and have an earlier version of the BT250 that I used with a cellphone. I loved it. It was very comfortable to wear, and the sound was very good. I'm not using it right now because I bounced the little adapter that let me use it with my non-Bluetooth StarTAC off the ground a few too many times. I've never used it on a PC, though.

Interesting. So a bluetooth earpiece would work as a speaker/microphone.

I have managed to transfer data from a bluetooth phone to my T40p, but never paired it with a earpiece. I must try that with my wife's Motorola 820.

nonny, you're talking about the BT200, not the BT250. The BT200 had further range as the BT250 had longer battery life but more static is introduced when the range is further than 5 or so feet. The Motorola 810/820 and the new 850 actually works better than Jabra, the Jabra just fits the ear better as it doesn't hang on the ear. The earpiece will work as a earpiece and microphone. You need a Bluetooth speaker to work as a speaker and microphone.

Earlier version means a earlier revision of the BT250. If you said earlier model, then it's different. It's almost like someone saying a earlier version of the A31P, that would still be a A31P. A earlier model would mean something different.
