... then you can always use the exceptionally bright LCD backlight to sort your holiday pictures http://www.heise.de/ct/machflott/projekte/55770 or to display your digital pics in a special frame http://www.heise.de/ct/machflott/projekte/55995.

cheers,

If I can't find a motherboard for my 600E, I might go along with the photo sorter idea.

using a good working display as a light box is a waste, i think..

better to sell it to someone with a broken display..

Given the outstanding repairability of ThinkPads, this might
indeed be the way to go. But hey, there are rational things,
and there are fun things, Bill, and this went into the 'Etcetera'
forum for a reason!

Along these lines, check http://www.heise.de/ct/machflott/projekte/55955 for a way
to 'repair' a broken backlight.

the fun image was the boot embedded in the display of a thinkpad 600..

others thought otherwise..

and thinking further, there are a whole lot of old notebooks with good displays that can be used as a lightbox or other similar uses.. :) :)

Well its not just the german colors, rather a touch of Belge...
