Looks like a PowerPC connected to small, simple, in-order vector processors. I think it'll be a floating point monster, but I am skeptical of how well it will perform overall.
Homebuilt PC: AMD Athlon XP (Barton) @ 1.47 GHz; nForce2 Ultra; 1GB RAM; 80GB HDD @ 7200RPM; ATI Radeon 9600; Integrated everything else!

Prety impressive processor on paper.
It has 9 cores and running at 4GHz, massive parallel capability and has virtual OS capability. That means it can possibly run multiple OS.. a dream processor to all computer lovers. Hopfully in the future we will be able to load Windows, OSX or Linux on same machine using this processor. Testers were able to load Linux kernel on it but I am not sure about Windows.
Supposedly it wil be released in 2006 so AMD and Intel better get their act together before this thing gets released. But I can never complain about competition, better products at lower prices for consumers..
I will have to wait until I see it in person and actual benchmark tests to believe all the hype behind it.
