IBM and Tablet

#1 Post by draco2527 » Wed Mar 30, 2005 9:54 pm

Will IBM ever come out with a Tablet?

I hate to say it, but the Toshiba is looking better and better every year!!!

The poll question is, SHOULD IBM come out with a Tablet?

They already have in the past (730T and TransNote) and there's another on the way.

No, I can't tell you more about the new tablet.

Yeah, but the 730T and the TransNote were not "True Tablets"

The addition of Windows Tablet has made leap and bounds were IBM lagged!!!

Don't get me wrong the TransNote was AWESOME; but it lacked the fundamental that the new tablets have put forward!!!!

"release date" that is all I want to know..not what, not how, not were (Japan always gets some sweet ThinkPads!!) , just WHEN? :)

Earliest realistic date I've heard is 1Q '06, although some are saying as early as 3Q '05.

A tablet the size of an X3x or X4x would be nice.

XP Tablet Edition SP2 has overcome all of the former shortcomings of the Transnote.
