I cleaned the fan and heatsink entirely , applied new thermal paste, even applied thermal pad to south bridge. But I still get temps of up to 88c and the bottom is too hot to comfortably touch. TPFanControl says fan is spinning at about 300RPM, but is super loud (sounds like grinding almost) and doesn't seem to do much to cool down the CPU.
What else can be done? Any tricks other users have come up with? Maybe simply a new fan is in order? Any other better fans that fir, maybe?

Why is my P1 Gen 7 so much better on battery? Cool, quiet, fast — but not on AC.
