No custom charge threshold (on x100e w/17+ battery)

#1 Post by benjs » Sun Feb 07, 2010 2:44 pm

Please excuse me if this should go into the "General Thinkpad Hw/Sw" thread and move it accordingly - thank you!

I recently bought a x100e (NTT27GE a/k/a Type# 2876-27G) which came with the "17+" battery (57Wh, PN 42T4787) and I can't set a custom charging threshold in the Power Manager (v3.12) under Windows 7 x86!
It doesn't even display the RadioButton which says "Custom"... it does so fine on my T61p though.

Is this a bug in Power Manager which probably doesn't recognize the new battery type, eventhough Lenovo ships them?
If this issue is something I'd better ask Lenovo Support please tell me, I just have the feeling I'm not alone with this problem and someone here might've solved this already... ;)

Thanks!

PS: If you have any questions about this model (it has all features AFAICT, i.e. bluetooth and Gobi2000 UMTS/GPS chips) don't hesitate to ask! :)
lenovo Thinkpad X230 (2325-7R6) w/i5-3320 w/IPS panel, T61p (6457-CTO) w/intel core2 t9300 w/wuxga tft, X100e (2876-27G) w/amd mv40 w/hd tft ... all on Win7 x64; in the past: IBM Thinkpad R40.
