The 600X has a different sound chip (CS4624) that it shares with the T2x and A2x series. I don't think the others have the problem, so it's specific to the 600X BIOS.

The 600 has a CS4237B, and the 600E has a CS4239, neither of which have this problem. I think those have worked for a long time.
