ThinkPad X1 crashes

#1 Post by Remis » Fri Nov 08, 2024 2:28 am

Greetings,

My computer ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 (S/N: PF421VQA;  BIOS ver: N3AET83W 1.48)often crashes when it is in a hibernation or idling state (often in the night).

This also happened after a clean reinstall of Windows 11. In Windows events, it shows that "System rebooted without a clean shutdown first. This error could have occurred if the system became unresponsive, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." Error messages: "The Secure Boot update failed to update a Secure Boot variable with error Secure Boot is not enabled on this machine. For more information, see https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2169931. Could you advise me what to do?

Could you explain what could be possible reasons and how to fix it?

Thank you in advance.

Have you checked the hardware ? Think you have a faulty memory block or bad drive.
