X! Carbon with i7 Availability

The i7 model has been gone for about a week already does anyone know when it will be back?
Lenovo told me it would be last Friday, but that time has come and gone.

I don't know about availability but I have a related question - do you know how much of a performance boost upgrading to the i7 gives you?

I received mine through two weeks ago through a friend who is a re-seller . I'll ask him to see what availability looks like and post here as soon as I hear back from him.
