So I seem to be having the same problem with a Lenovo X1 (1286-CTO) laptop. I do not have a bluetooth, unknown or any devices in device manager with a ! next to them. When I click fn + f5 I do not get an option to turn on/off bluetooth, but I do have a wireless option, which is on. I have checked BIOS multiple times and bluetooth is enabled under security. I have a bluetooth light next to the wireless radio light that shows green on Post but then turns off and never turns back on once Windows 7 starts loading. I've tried uninstall/re-install latest versions of all lenovo drivers/software including Hotkeys and Power Manager. I've re-installed windows and updated everything and still can not even get bluetooth to show up in the device manger or anywhere else. When I try to install the Bluetooth drivers from lenovo or broadcomm widcomm I get an error that Bluetooth device not detected. I'm at a loss of what to try next.
