X1 Carbon replacement keyboard - stiff trackpad button

I had a keyboard problem and replaced it. But the right trackpad button on the new keyboard is very stiff, making it difficult to use. Other than replacing the keyboard again, does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this problem? Or, if replacement is the only option, can someone recommend a reliable vendor?
