Cant Upgrade Install Windows 8 Lenovo Auto Scroll Utility

I saw some stuff suggested on Lenovo forums, tried a few things. Still not working. Not clear.. whats THE WAY to ..UNINSTALL this thingy to get upgraded to Windows 8.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Experiences?

PS: Current install: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 - Going to Windows 8 Pro. (For upgrade reasons.. and then 8.1).. To preserve Programs, Settings and Everything.

You mean you cannot upgrade or cannot uninstall it?

Windows 8 Uprade Install on top of Windows 7 x64 gets stuck due to Lenovo Scroll Utility (also largely pointed out on Lenovo Forums)

It appears that the Autoscroll Utility is either a stand-alone package or else part of the Hotkey Features package - depending upon your ThinkPad model.

Check the "UNINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS" of the Readme file...

Thanks. I will be trying this out over the weekend on my X61T / T61.

I will do an in place upgrade from Win 7 SP1 Ult to Win 8 Pro. Any thoughts/ tips?

Also, how much EMPTY space should I leave in the Disk? Recommendations?
