Low-priced T530?

#1 Post by Olwe » Mon Oct 28, 2013 11:47 am

If you go to this ebay link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lenovo-ThinkPad ... 2a31ee6917

. . . you'll see a T430 that's much cheaper than a "new" T430 from the Lenovo site. What's up with this lower price? What's the catch? Sure, it says it's "refurbished," but what could that mean? I'm in the market for a T430 or even a T420. Can I trust these sorts of ebay deals? Before I was buying T61's fairly fearlessly, simply because it was a calculated risk. But when you hit the $500 mark, I'd like to feel a bit safer, if you know what I mean. Some advice, please.

What advice is there to give regarding eBay? Which means it's all about the buyer and seller. An honest buyer and honest seller and the experience can be fantastic. Buyer's and seller's rating is only a small indicator as it can and is easily manipulated.

Hit the Lenovo Outlet. There's a T420 with HD+ LCD here for $10 more, though you will have to pay tax.
