Nice review. Thanks.

Do you always use such big fonts or was it only for the review?

thanks! I could have cut it down and made it a bit shorter by talking faster now that I think about it.

Im a big font kind of guy...I don't like having to squint bc I usually lean back in my chair when i'm online so I turn up all the fonts extra large!

Cool. Maybe one thing that you didn't mention is the fingerprint reader which I think you do have but aren't using. Any reason for that?

Good eye, and good question. Ive never had a finger print reader bf so its kind of like an old dog learning new tricks I guess. I wouldn't mind using it if it helps in some way...but whats the utility of it? I heard you can start your machine with it instead of pushing the power button, but is that all?

Well, it's kind of easier to swipe your finger instead of typing your password.

Unfortunately you cannot power on the machine using it. That used to be possible on previous generations of ThinkPads but then Apple acquired AuthenTec, the company that was making the readers for Lenovo and they had to switch the supplier. The new one (Validity) doesn't provide that feature. AuthenTec's tech is now used in iPhone 5s.

If you want to set it up, use the tool called Fingerprint Manager Pro from the Control Panel. It will let you enroll your fingerprints and set up Windows to login/resume by swiping your finger.
