Which DVDs to use for recovery media

#1 Post by rpfauth » Tue Feb 18, 2014 4:37 pm

My T530 came with a Super Multi 8x DVD+/-R/RW Dual Layer optical drive and I wish to create recovery media. Does it matter what type of blank DVDs I buy to use for this purpose? Thanks.

+ and - are just different formats, it doesn't matter which one you use. R means you can only write once on the disk, whereas RW means you can later wipe out the data and burn something else on the disk (up to like 1000 times or something).

So the answer is no, use whichever.
