t440s dual monitors
t440s dual monitors
I have a t440s and I have the lenovo dock.. There are two display ports on it... can this not drive two monitors? No matter what I do only one of the monitors get (or display) ports gets detected. Maybe this system canot support this?
Re: t440s dual monitors
In fact, the T440s supports up to 3 displays at the same time. However, you can´t use both DPs at the same time. To use 2 displays you can either use:
- 1x DP + 1x HDMI
- 1x DP + 1x DVI
- 1x DP + VGA
- 1x HDMI or DVI + VGA
- 1x DP + 1x HDMI
- 1x DP + 1x DVI
- 1x DP + VGA
- 1x HDMI or DVI + VGA

Re: t440s dual monitors
Thank you!
Why is that? Would be so convenient to just be able to use two display ports. When you use a display port and hdmi on dell ultra sharp u2414 (i think), one monitor looks more grainy than the other.

Re: t440s dual monitors
This isn't working for me. About to give up. I am finding that even with no monitors hooked up, I have this one listed in screen resolution screen and I think this is the intel widi. But I cannot figure out when this appeared or how to disable it. I cannot extend to another display AT ALL with the replicator.Ibthink wrote:In fact, the T440s supports up to 3 displays at the same time. However, you can´t use both DPs at the same time. I have no idea how to proceed.
Re: t440s dual monitors
Update on this, apparently there are other issues with this set up. Lots of people reporting monitors that do not return from sleep mode. Happens to me. If I let the monitors go to power save mode, then they will not be recognized anymore. By the look of how many threads there are about this on lenovo's site, and the age of them.. I don't think this issue is going to get fixed. This is a deal breaker for me since I use dual monitors most of the time. Switched to a surface pro 3.
