Is Expresscard slot always enabled

I need to buy an X230 Today but have a question whose answer the Lenovo chat and phone people cannot agree on.

I want an active expresscard slot because I might want to add a TV tuner or some other device. Here is what the online order page says:

System Expansion Slots

-- No Smart Card Reader

-- Gemplus 54mm ExpressCard Smart Card Reader from Lenovo

-- Cherry 54mm ExpressCard Smart Card Reader from Lenovo

I don't want a smart card reader. I do want a working expesscard port.

If I select "No Smart Card Reader" will I still get a working expresscard port, or will the expresscard function be missing from the machine?

The ExpressCard slot is there, available for future use even if you don't order one of the smart card readers.
