extremely slow X270 on battery
extremely slow X270 on battery
Hello, i have a X270 and i bough an aftermarket 9- cell battery for it. The problem is, that as soon as the computer recognizes it, it throttles down to exactly 0,39GHz. I checked in Lenovo Vantage and the battery doesn't have a firmware number. Is there a way to get around it, is the thinkpad just picky or should i just return the battery?
Thanks
Thanks

Is that under any OS?
(Or just under W10/W11...)

It seems that even engineers at lenovo make mistakes (or are just a bunch of assholes). It's impressive how i completely missed this.

I haven't read everything about that bug, but if it indeed stops if you move the battery-lock-slider, you could try and go a step further by completely removing that slider.
For that you probably need to take the whole laptop apart, but if it is no longer under warranty, so what?
You can then hold the battery in place with electricians tape or similar.
