Which mSATA SSD that works for sure?
Which mSATA SSD that works for sure?
Hi,
I am going to buy mSATA SSD. I read a lot of tests and still don't know. I thought about Crucial M4 - slow but reliable than I saw Plextor M5M but it has some speed bug. Mushkin Atlas is also on my aim but they have changed Toshiba NANDs for Micron NANDs which are little worse as I read in the article. There are also, Intel 525 and Samsung PM841. Now I really don't know what to choose for my W530... Please, help me to decide.
Regards,
Luia

Re: Which mSATA SSD that works for sure?
I don't think there's much of a perceivable performance difference between the mSATA drives. They're all fast. Failure rates for all drives are pretty low, though the last time I looked, Intel and Samsung were the lowest.

Re: Which mSATA SSD that works for sure?
So I could buy the cheapest of them but not all have as good software and warranty like Intel for example. Which one would You choose if the price is on the second place?
Re: Which mSATA SSD that works for sure?
I have the Intel drive cause it was the only option when I bought, but I wouldn't pay extra to get the software. I'd buy the least expensive mSATA in the size you want from a reputable manufacturer.

Plextor M5M is the cheapest at 128GB size. I think I will buy it.
