WWAN LTE Gobi 3000 and Gobi 4000

I'd like to buy a WWAN module for my Lenovo W530, but why does it list that only the Gobi 3000 is compatible which only gives 3g speeds? If I buy a Gobi 4000, will the 530 not take it?

Are there non Gobi / Sierra Wireless options?
