W530 question.

Hi there guys.

So the W530 comes with illuminated keyboard. My question is, if I change the original keyboard to the 7-row keyboard will I lose the illumination effect? Or the 7-row keyboard is also illuminated?

The 7-row keyboard compatible with **30 generation (the keyboard of the **0s-**20 generation) does not have a backlight option, so yes, you would lose that (if your W530 keyboard is backlit; not all of them were).

However, **30 generation has a Thinklight (above the LCD) which lights up the keyboard area, and it works with the 7-row keyboard mod for these models.
