Computer sleeps for no reason

#1 Post by pjc30943 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 7:01 pm

Any advice? With at least one external monitor plugged in to my w530, the computer goes to sleep with no warning after 1-2 minutes. All power settings are set to Never sleep or hibernate, both in Windows 7 profiles and the Power Manager profiles. This is frustrating. There are no screensavers active. All CPU temps are normal (~35 C).

Do you run TPFanControl? If so, there's a potential issue there.

Had identical symptoms, and disabling TPFanControl did the trick.

I am running TP fancontrol and for me the issue seems to occur randomly with no external monitor attached...
