W530 Random Ultrabay caddy ejects windows 8.1

#1 Post by finnschi » Mon Aug 04, 2014 3:32 pm

Hi there,

I got a Lenovo Ultrabay caddy with a 1Tb HDD in my W530 but it randomly ejects my drive and then remounts it, it is totally random like every hour or so and not connected to any movement, I can see "Choose what to do with your external harddrive" or something similar.

Any fix for that?

Seagate HD?
W8.1?
They don't seem to like one another.
My suggestions:
1) go back to W7
2) get a different brand HD (WD, Samsung, Toshiba, Hitachi, anything but Seagate...)
