XPx64 on a T400. Missing drivers

#1 Post by PhoenixR » Thu Jun 19, 2025 11:11 am

Just installed a fresh copy of XPx64 on a T400 and naturally there are 10 question marks in the Device Manager. To my amazement there are no XPx64 drivers on the official site - download.lenovo.com/eol - for some of the components, for instance, no video drivers, just XPx32 versions, that's all. Pretty strange situation :o, does anyone run XPx64 on a T400 at all, any thoughts where to get the missing drivers? :?:

Somehow XP x64 was never a thing when it comes to official OEM support.

See if Vista x64 drivers work, or Server 2003 drivers, where they exist.

Yeah I used google, too, and been to that website driverscape.com before posting. From what I saw there were just XP x32 drivers and other win versions. And of course I know the thread of theterminator, I asked him before, too, and as expected he said XP x64 has never been released by lenovo as a factory restore. So I wondered if anyone had an image of a working XP x64

Right but the amazing part is that there ARE some XP x64 T400 drivers on official download.lenovo.com/eol - for example, chipset drivers, audio drivers and some others. I could understand if there were no XP x64 drivers at all, that would have meant that system was completely unsupported but when there are 50% of drivers available and others are missing from the official site - that's harder to get why
